Inside the ROAR Family: Cherishing Our Culture

By April 1, 2026No Comments

At ROAR Logistics, delivering dependable transportation solutions is what we’re known for. But the foundation of that reliability goes far beyond processes, technology, or strategy. It comes from the people who show up every day ready to support one another and serve our clients. Simply put, our culture is what makes ROAR, ROAR.

One of our core values is “Cherish Our Culture,” and it’s something we take seriously. The relationships built across our teams create an environment where associates feel supported, respected, and motivated to do their best work. When people feel connected to the mission and to each other, great things happen.

In the transportation industry, challenges are part of the job. Shipments change, conditions shift, and solutions are constantly in demand. What makes the difference is the team behind the work. At ROAR, our associates collaborate, communicate, and step up for one another. That teamwork not only strengthens our culture internally, it also ensures we deliver the reliable service our clients count on.

The “family” mindset often comes up when people describe life at ROAR, and for good reason. Our associates look out for each other, celebrate successes together, and lend a hand when someone needs support. Whether it is helping a colleague solve a challenge, recognizing a milestone, or simply checking in during a busy day, those everyday moments build a culture of mutual trust and respect.

That sense of culture is best described by the people who live it every day. Megan M. shared, “I’ve only got a sentence or two to sum up ROAR, so here it is: I jumped aboard the Intermodal Team in January 2018 and accidentally gained a whole second family (no returns). I’m usually the problem child, keeping things exciting and giving myself extra work fixing my own mistakes. It’s fun, it’s real, it’s built on honesty and teamwork. When I describe it to people, they’re usually asking if we’re hiring.”

Rob L. added, “ROAR has a strong mix of tenured associates and new hires, and that balance works side by side to get the job done while still having fun doing it. There’s a family-first mindset from leadership, and the in-office perks, like Friday happy hours, help keep things light.”

Recognition is also an important part of how we cherish our culture. Throughout the year, we highlight the people who make ROAR what it is through company-wide recognition efforts and office spotlights that celebrate the dedication and achievements of our teams and individual associates. We also take time to observe meaningful occasions such as International Women’s Day and National Logistics Day, acknowledging the people whose work drives not only our company forward, but our industry as a whole.

Just as importantly, we use our platform to raise awareness for causes that affect the ROAR family and the communities around us. From Breast Cancer Awareness Month to Alzheimer’s awareness and other important initiatives, these moments allow our team to come together in support of one another and call attention to issues that impact families everywhere.

In 2025, the ROAR Golf Invitational proudly supported the Wounded Warrior Project, helping raise funds for veterans and active-duty service members who have sacrificed so much. The Buffalo office continued a meaningful tradition by fulfilling a family’s holiday wish list through the Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center. What began 17 years ago has grown into a cherished annual effort fueled by the generosity and compassion of ROAR associates.

These are just a few examples of how our values extend far beyond the walls of our offices. The same spirit of teamwork and care that drives our work also guides how we support our communities.

As ROAR continues to grow, so does our family. New associates join our teams each year, bringing fresh ideas, energy, and perspective. From their first day, they are welcomed into a culture built on respect, collaboration, and a shared commitment to doing what is right. It does not take long for people to experience what makes ROAR different.

At ROAR Logistics, culture is something we live every day through our actions, our teamwork, and our dedication to each other and to our clients.

Because when you cherish your culture, you strengthen your people. And when you strengthen your people, you build something that lasts. That is the ROAR family.
